This forum is dedicated to EVERYTHING at Walt Disney World (except the Genie – he's got his own forum next door). Whether you want to chat about your most recent adventure or ask for advice as you prepare for your first ever trip to the parks, this section is dedicated to all things Disney World. Note that as the forum gets busier, we will likely start creating new categories like the one for Genie Plus and move all relevant threads to the new areas so that it is easier to find the right info, but post away about everything from dining to resorts to park planning right here.

We're first time Disney goers. We'll have our 2 kiddos with us, they're 4 and 6. Since this is our first time, we wanna dip our toes in. We're staying Thursday-Sunday in January and we'll be going to Magic Kingdom, Friday, then Animal Kingdom, Saturday. The only thing we have purchased so far is our hotel(not staying on disney grounds) and our flights. We definitely plan on renting a stroller for both of our kiddos. Should we purchase park tickets directly from the Disney website? Please send any other resources for first time Disney goers. I know I have a lot of researching to do ahead of me. EarScouts has already been my main source of information(THANK YOU). Please list any threads or videos that you think would be helpful.
Thanks for ANY info! 😁
Hi Everyone!!! We are a military family of 6 (kids able to go are 14, 6, 3. still working on the 19yo college student's schedule) staying in AOA 2/14-2/20. These were really the only dates that worked for us and realized a few weeks ago that there are cheer comps that weekend and the 19th is Presidents Day. Also, do you utilize or prefer any specific crowd calendars? I've seen the results vary for our dates. I do feel much better about seeing and riding everything after watching Rob's videos. They are so great!!! Just trying to decide what parks/days to get Genie+ and if I should break our group into two parties when trying to reserve lightening lanes or when "playing the slots." :) Also any tips for child swap? I need to research this some more. I felt like a pro going when my 19 and 14 year olds were younger then everything changed and I feel like I have so much more to learn to take advantage of the days. The younger kids are big enough to ride most rides now, are SOOOO excited, and I cannot wait to get there and see Disney through their eyes this year!
I have a question for everyone - i'm going with my family next week (my parents and all of us kids who are adults) and we have 2 rooms at all-star Sports. We're traveling on a budget to ensure everyone could afford to go so we'll have 4 people in each room, which means 2 of my brothers (the unlucky single ones lol) will need to share a bed, which they would rather not do. Does anyone know if the resort can provide a cott or air matress? I've heard some do this but i'm not sure about value resorts... i'm also thinking of just ordinger a cheap air matress on amazon and having it delivered there haha.
On my Epcot park day I hope to rope drop Remy - I am staying at All-Star Music, so will have early entry. Am I better to take the bus to the front entrance of Epcot or to find a way to the International Gateway (perhaps bus to Hollywood Studios, then Skyliners to International Gateway?)?
