- First Timer - Magic Kingdom Fireworks PartyIn Disney World DiscussionMay 11, 2024Hi Siobhan! So far the park hours calendar goes to July 10 and Happily Ever After is scheduled at 9:20 that week. I don't see it changing much unless they do an After Hours on a specific night. Hope that helps!22
- Favorite Rope Drop Park and StrategyIn Disney World DiscussionOctober 28, 2023That sounds awesome! I love rope drop as well. We have taken many trips over the years and there is just something special about early mornings at WDW. Can't say that I'm always super excited to hop out of bed here at home! However, we haven't been in 6 years, so I'm not sure if my now teenagers are going to be as eager to get up that early on this next trip haha! Maybe bribing them with extra snacks will work! This will be our first experience with Genie+ and there are many new attractions since our last visit so I am trying to gather as much strategy info as I can. Thanks for your post!22
- Table Service recs!In Disney World DiscussionOctober 26, 2023I certainly haven't eaten everywhere but I would highly recommend Spice Road Table - it's almost tapas style so if you want a lot or you want to snack it's a good option! I loved the Beirgarten in the Germany pavilion but it's an all you can eat so maybe not what you're looking for. On my last trip i did Be Our Guest for my bday and i wasn't impressed for the cost so def skip that one. I've heard good things about Nomad and will be going on an upcoming trip but haven't been there yet.22
- Need help planning your Disney World trip?In Disney World DiscussionOctober 25, 2023Hi Jen! If you come in from the front, you will have a little bit longer of a wait compared with folks who enter through the International Gateway, but keep in mind that it will be a pretty big hassle to get to that other entrance unless you just decide to spring for a Lyft over to Boardwalk or Beach Club. Otherwise, you'd take the bus to Hollywood Studios and then walk (fastest), boat or Skyliner over to Epcot.2
- Help us make our new site even better! In Welcome to Ear ScoutsApril 2, 2024How can we donate - I have learned so much from your videos I would love to give back and support EarScouts, I saw a patreon thank you from you at the end of the last video but though I’ve looked I haven’t found where I can join an earscouts patreon? Great stuff!22
- Multi-Day Trip tipsIn Disney World DiscussionDecember 3, 2024I definitely think breaks in the middle of the day are good, especially if you are doing early entry and staying for a night time show. We either had timed pool time plus ipad time or nap time. It worked well for us. We would do an early lunch (11 am) either at the hotel or the park, and come back around 3 - 4 pm. The other option would be to do early entry one day and leave for the hotel a little before dinner. Then return to the same park on another day, but later in the day and catch the night time show. Have a great time!22
- What is your favorite Disney Resort? In Ear Scouts LodgeOctober 29, 2023My family loves Yacht Club. We've stayed there our last 5 trips. We're Epcot resort people now since my kids are older (12 and 10) and MK isn't at the top of our to-do list. We always stay club level and the service is amazing, the water views exquisite and the food (in our opinion) is great. We were even upgraded to the vice presidential Commodore's Suite last December! That said...I just stayed at BW for a trip with my sister and loved it! Same great service and views but just felt a little more fun? Maybe I was getting bored with YC?? Going with my husband and kids in February and hope they love BW like I did!!22
- For the FoodiesIn Ear Scouts Lodge·February 12, 2024Hey Scouts! So on my solo trip last December, I was able to snag a seat at the Nomad Lounge bar and tried the Bangkok wings. I'm a big fan of Asian cuisine and just loved these. So tonight I got it in my head to try and duplicate the recipe. Nothing to go on but my memory and the menu description. I have to say, I think I nailed it! Sweet (palm sugar), sticky (honey), spicy (Birds Eye chilis), tangy (fresh lime), and packed with umami (fish sauce). Some jasmine rice and a quick pickle rounded it out perfectly. What are some of your 'must have' Disney dishes??2242
- “Top Picks” not appearing on Tip BoardIn Disney Genie Forum·January 20, 2024Hi all, My family and I are gearing up for our first Disney trip later this week! To prepare, I've been watching all the Ear Scout videos on Genie+ and they've been fantastic! Thank you! Our first day in the park is Wednesday (going to MK) and I've set up "My Day" and selected a single ride that I'm targeting for Genie+ (Yes, I know I'm early but I'm excited and want to make sure I understand the app!). However, when I go to the "Tip Board" page I don't see the "My Top Picks" heading that shows the single ride I said I was interested in. Since I'm still a few days out, I obviously haven't purchased the Genie+ service yet. Will that "My Top Picks" menu become available once I purchase the service on the day of, or am I doing something wrong? :) Thank you!2295
- Mickey very merry Christmas partay :)In Disney World Discussion·November 16, 2023Me again! I have some questions about the MVMCP. How early would you recommend being at the Walt and Mickey statue to wait for fireworks, parade and show? Does anyone know the parade route? Any recommendations on what order to do things such as rides, food and shopping? Thank you!!2251
- Genie+ second park of dayIn Disney Genie Forum·April 21, 2024Hi! I have a really good handle on genie+ and have always used it successfully. My family is planning to visit over Labor Day Weekend. Now that things have changed with park hopping restrictions no longer in place, I am unsure on the stacking process for your second park. My family of 4 is planning to do EPCOT and Hollywood Studios. Ideally, we would rope drop EPCOT, starting at the International Gateway entrance. I have a feeling we can easily get through Remy and Frozen plus the ILL or VQ for Guardians. However, is it possible to get lightning lanes for Hollywood Studios beginning at 7 AM if you're not going to scan into that park first? We will have regular tickets without the need for reservations. Slinky dog is important for us to get (but I know we can't pick a time for the first ride at 7 AM) so I was just hoping for clarity on if we can book LL for HS starting in the morning and then through our morning in EPCOT without any issue with our park entrance. Hope this made sense. Thanks!2245
- Capacity during New Years week?In Disney World Discussion·April 21, 2024Hi so we are booked at Boardwalk hotel new years week. We like to take breaks during the day but I’m hearing we might not be able to get back into parks due to capacity. Can someone explain the likelihood this will happen and the levels of capacity situation? Thanks1438
