I've definitely had them in the evening if that's of any use. There probably does come a point where they stop making new ones, but it's probably just when they think they'll end up with them leftover.

I think there's a chance Buzz Lightyear will be back open by then, it's not a complete re-imagining so you never know. Rock n Rollercoaster hasn't even closed yet, so it seems unlikely it'll be back open by May. It depends how much is it is actually going to change. I assume the rollercoaster itself will be exactly the same, so who knows.

We were there for Memorial Day weekend in 2024 and you couldn't notice the difference, it definitely wasn't any busier than normal. On the Memorial Day itself in Magic Kingdom, it was actually really quiet. This was when Tron was still on a virtual queue, we entered the park around 5pm and there was still Virtual Queue slots available.

I hope it closes as soon as possible as we are coming August 2026 and I would love it to be back open by then. When we last came in May 2024 it was also closed for refurbishment!

Mammoth Club are currently doing a video series about getting to the parks late, this is the Hollywood Studios one: Disney World For Night Gremlins: Hollywood Studios At Night | Rides, Snacks, Tips & Tricks In terms of strategy, pre-book the rides that are most important to you. Then from there look at which rides have the latest return times and if there are any you really want to do, then get those booked first. Also taken into account the handy tip, if a LL expires you can immediately book another one. However you can still tap into the expired one up to 2 hours after the expiry time. You have to have tapped in at your first LL for this to start working.

What sort of discounts are we talking here? Roughly how much cheaper per night does it tend to be than just buying direct with Disney?

Rob's video does show you an book the LLs in AK and still get the big rides in the other parks, so its definitely possible. It's also quite a risky strategy, I think you need to be pre booking for the other parks to be sure of getting the likes of Slinky and Tianas. You'll be able to get everything done at AK across the two mornings you're there. What Rachel says is correct with regards to LLs, for HS and MK in particular its always better to get to them early so you can start booking more rides. Any particular reason you're wanting to split the days?

You could always go for it and if the line looks too big pivot to Soarin or maybe Test Track if its back open.

I completely get your perspective, I always want to ride our favorites more than once per day! I think to have a very low wait you would need to be going in the front entrance, as people coming in there will obviously have an advantage over you. That said, you could certainly still get a lower wait coming in from the back then you would generally during the day.

The wording on the Disney site is as follows: "Guests with date-based theme park tickets (which require the Guest to choose a start date at the time of purchase) can purchase 3 days before the first day of their ticket, for the total number of valid admission days on their ticket." So to answer your question: On that Thursday, can I book 3 lightning lanes for each of the 3 park days?  Yes! At 7am EST on the Thursday you can book for all 3 days. As you mention it's generally recommended to book the Hollywood Studios ones first, I'd then recommend going for Epcot and lastly Animal Kingdom.

This is an interesting quirk, unfortunately I can't help with the annual pass\date based ticket advice, but for the lightning lanes the answer is yes you will be able to add him to reservations but only if there is space available. It would essentially be like booking a new lightning lane reservation for both of you. An alternative would be to try and get your husband's reservations to be as close to yours as possible but not book them together. You have a 2 hour grace period after a lightning lane expires so you should be able to get reasonably close to each other, although this may not be possible on the very popular attractions.

What Kiran suggests is the best way to do it currently, but it's unofficial.

I don't think the time you have to get there will change too much as people are still going for the rides they want, it's just you're not all crowded around the holding points they have.

Has the early entry procedure changed everywhere? I know at Hollywood Studios you already went to the individual attractions, is that now the same at all the other parks?

9:50am first tap in is pretty good in terms of trying to snag more lightning lanes in Hollywood Studios. The breakfast is the difficult bit of it, if that's a must do for you then I think the plan you currently have looks good. It will likely mean doing less at Animal Kingdom though. If you weren't to do the breakfast you could probably get FoP and Kilimanjaro done during early entry and potentially a few more rides before it gets too busy. The alternative option which carries more risk but potentially also more reward, is to pre-book Animal Kingdom lightning lanes instead. Then go to HS a bit later and hope the lightning lane gods are on your side and you still manage to get the ones you want. Rob did actually manage this in one of the videos he did.

It's definitely a tricky balance, I think for pre-booking I'd go with my top priority rides regardless of the times so I knew I had them. Then before the trip try modifying to see if I could get anything better and if not possibly sacrifice one of the three to go for an early burner ride depending on which park it was for.
