What if you just opt out?

Headed to Disneyland in Janurary 7th ish. Wondering if I should opt out of Lightning Lanes during my one day at the park. I'm all for getting the most out of my day at Disney, and planning as well as I can, but it seems like I might spend a bunch of time on my phone obsessing about what I can switch out or obtain. Perhaps it would be better to just hit the park early and late (staying at Disney hotel) and be able to be in the moment chatting with my family waiting in queue. Are the benefits worth the work and anxiety?

Hi Jac! I really like Jonny 5's answer. The good news is that Lightning Lanes at Disneyland tend to be a lot less competitive than Disney World in Orlando. I'd say grab what you can get easily with the LL system and if you can't easily grab one of the big ticket attractions, just wait in the standby queue and use that time to "play the slots" and get a different difficult to book attraction like Jonny suggested. There are only a handful that are difficult to grab and you'll likely enjoy skipping the queues even for the ones that weren't hard to get.
