Not-so obvious items that you can get with Disney Dining Plan credits

Hello friends,

My girlfriend got an early B-Day present for our upcoming trip to WDW, in the form of the 2025 Disney Dining Plan.

We used the Dining Plan for a short trip last year, and I thought it was great, but personally did not think it was worth the money for myself. As alluded to in Rob’s new video, you sometimes have to force yourself into eating more than you normally would just to utilize everything. So, this time around, we are trying to find what items we were looking forward to, might actually count towards the DDP.

For example, there is no clear answer on the App or Online that I have seen for getting a Turkey Leg in Magic Kingdom on the DDP. Prince Eric’s Village Market has it listed as an “entree”, so it was speculated that you can use a Quick Service Meal Credit towards it. Does anybody know of any locations you can use a DDP Credit for a Turkey Leg, if at all?

Another example is Beaches & Cream Soda Shop’s Sundaes. I believe you have to use a Table Service Credit to dine here. Their Sundaes are technically not listed under desserts, and so it was speculated that you can use your Entree for your Table Service Credit for something like the Kitchen Sink. Has anybody been able to confirm this?

Thank you all in advance, and if you have any recommendations on items or places to try to get the most out of the DDP, I am all ears!

We did MK After Hours on Monday. Unfortunately Prince Eric’s closed before 7pm, but we went to Liberty Market Square and I used a QS Credit for the Turkey Leg and got a slushee as my drink. I probably could have asked for chips on the side and they probably would have said no problem. It’s listed that way at Prince Eric’s so I assume they would do the same.

Using the DDP this time around, it did seem like they were a little more accommodating with the ways you could utilize it.

2 things I learned this time around that I do not believe we experienced previously. One was that your alcoholic drink can have a price limit, Springs seemed to be a $20 max and $25 everywhere else. And the second thing is that you can upgrade your sides for free. So at Beaches & Cream we had tots on the side and were able to upgrade to the chili and bacon.

Overall I stand strongly that you should be able to adjust the number of days or only choose for park days, because it is an insane amount of food to eat and that is coming from a heavy eater. We had a couple of off days and ended up struggling to use the last of our QS credits towards the end, but luckily we were able to use a few on Turkey Legs!
