In a moment of excitement with a spectacular deal on the screen , I booked my family a Disney World vacation….. aka didn’t use a planner… not so smart. Although not our first trip, I have never done the 6am dining reservation release. I have been watching the last few mornings trying to see if the Space 220 reservations pop up but only saw one reservation and it was gone before I clicked on it. This is all to ask. What is the fastest way to get a specific dining reservation? Computer, App? Is there a “playing the Disney slots” refresh I’m missing at 555am?

I was able to get a reservation at 6 am for Space 220 restaurant for our upcoming March trip. We actually preferred to get the Lounge, but couldn't obtain it, despite trying at random times. I signed up for the MouseDining app and upgraded to get text messages... It worked the second time I got an alert! I got a text that a time slot had opened, and I was able to get on MDE immediately and snag the reservation! We then cancelled the restaurant reservation , which opened it up for someone else. Just sharing an option that worked for us. Good luck!
I always do the 6am reservation game lol. I've found Space to be one of the most difficult! I finally got one for the lounge last December and I am glad I just did the lounge. I also check to see what's easy or difficult to get by checking the days before. Also, I try to schedule the most difficult ones at the end of the trip because you get the 60 days + your length of stay. So don't get discouraged if you aren't seeing what you want in the days leading up to the 60 day mark!
I have had the same experience as Rob, there is no magic time to search. In fact, I have had better luck at odd times of the day or night. The key is to search whenever you are able to do so. Meaning, I have checked at 6am then at 2pm (the same day) and was able to secure at 2pm. I did this for one of the most difficult reservations to get, Beaches and Cream.
Hi Rachael! I actually never do the 6AM reservation thing, but I have lots of luck persistently checking the app for reservations that pop up closer to the date. If I know I want to eat at a particular restaurant on a particular day, I'll just open up the app whenever I'm bored and check to see if anything has popped up. It happens more often than people realize and while I don't have a 100% success rate, I would say I get what I want more often than I don't - including Liberty Tree Tavern on Thanksgiving Day, which seemed next to impossible at the time. There used to be some other tricks you could use, but they have since fixed the app and you can't exploit the old bugs that would essentially hide certain reservations from view.
