I am looking for park-hopping ideas for AK and Epcot. I am trying to get all the Genie Plus rides at AK and still hit as many rides as possible at Epcot.
If possible I'd recommend doing Animal Kingdom second, the wait times there plummet in the last couple of hours. The only LL you'd probably need would be Navi, you may even get Pandora in the dark if you do Flight of Passage last.
I am wondering if you already came back from this - because I was debating doing AK to Epcot in September with my family - and would love to know how it worked out.
I am assuming I would need to get Navi and maybe Safari but the lines for the other items would be such I could stack in Epcot later in the day getting Frozen and Remy (Test Track will be closed when I am there)
So that day I got Remy at 7 am. We rope dropped AK. We did every ride in AK by 12. We headed right to flight of passage. By the time the park officially opened We were headed to Navi river. Then we headed to Safari and waited about 10 minutes. From there took some pics and headed to Everest and Rapids with little wait. Then to Dinosaur and bugs life before we left.
The Remy time I got initially was around 11. But I used Robs strategy and modified it a couple times for later on at night. I was also able to score frozen for that night. So once we hopped to Epcot after dinner I had Remy. Soarin. Frozen. Guardians and Nemo. We waited in line for test track once the park closed . Hope that helps .
First thing I would to is to establish my most ride attractions in AK, some of the things I would recommend you not to miss are:
Flight of Passage (this one can take a little while to ride it but if you are doing Early Entry this would be a good option to start with)
Festival of the Lion King (there are specific times for this show and you can always check it on the app and I don’t think it is necessary to make a reservation with DG+)
Expedition Everest (you can use the Single Rider Line)
Kilimanjaro Safaris
Na’vi River Journey (this would be my first booked attraction with DG+)
I would focus on stack the attractions for EPCOT for Remy, Frozen and Test Track (if this one is still open when you visit) since later in the day, those attractions become harder to book.
If I book a ride at Epcot at 7am.. say Remy. When can I book my next genie plus ride??? Can I book a ride at 10am for animal kingdom since the park opened at 8am or do I have to wait 2 hours from the time the park opens where I booked my first genie plus ride.. which was at epcot? Thanks!!!!
I just wanted to chime in that when we say “2 hours after park opening,” that is referring to the park where your first ride was booked, not the park you physically visit first. Hope that helps!
Hello Noah! Quick question are you rope dropping? if you are, I will be stacking LL's for later in my day for EPCOT (since it gets more difficult to book Frozen/Remy as the day passes by) and I will try to focus on riding some of the most difficult to book attractions at AK (Navi, Kilimanjaro Safaris, Everest) during that early entry time since the wait times tend to be lower.
If you are not Rope Dropping, I will try to play the Disney Genie Slots to book LL’s that you can redeem as soon as possible and will try to focus on getting Navi, Kilimanjaro Safaris, Adventurers Outpost (meet and greet with Mickey and Minnie). When you feel you have done the most with Disney Genie at AK, I will start stacking the attractions for EPCOT.
