I think they're just trying to push the MagicBand+ by failing to mention the increasingly hard to find MagicBand. I do think they are planning to phase out the MagicBand, but they will make a lot of loud announcements before that happens so people aren't caught off guard, 18 days out you are fine! We just went two weeks ago and used MagicBands. :)

maybe limit G+ to afternoon slots and use VQ for in the AM? I have no inside information just how I could see it working but total guess on my part.

I think ending night one with magic kingdom fireworks is about the most magical way I can think of to start a holiday. My only concern is who is in your party- I know when my kids were of a certain age day 1 needed to be pool and hotel time. They were so excited about hotel they couldn’t really enjoy the parks until they had gotten all of that out of their system. I am sure you will have a great trip!

We went on the very first night and it was horrendous for crowds, everyone was packed in and our view ended up being partially blocked by a tree. It wasn't the best experience for us, but I'd imagine by the time you go the crowds will have calmed slightly and Disney Springs may have got better at crowd management.

If there is a way for you to get to International Gateway...that's the way to do it for sure. If you can get there for the Early Morning Entry Rope Drop even better. A few years back our party was able to do Remy during that time and board Frozen just as the park officially opened.

😂 - me too. Don't tell anyone this, but I still get turned around in certain areas of Galaxy's Edge. 🤣

Great video, and I'm shocked at how empty the park was before a party day! I'll definitely do Tony's if I make it to Orlando again next year, by which time I also hope TRON is just a regular standby line. If Space Mountain has a queue that short, I'd ride it multiple times!

The huge advantage to starting at Rise is there are no guarantees it is going to stay up all day. Getting your day started with Rise (and then Smuggler's run ) is a great approach for sure. Galaxy's Edge first thing in the morning is great too...almost peaceful

I was staying at all-star Music back in April and also tried to rope drop Remy - I was at the very front of the "rope drop" line by the Seas with Nemo and friends and walked as quickly as i could but the line was 55 minuete by the time I got there (and then the ride went down for 45 min so it was a wasted rope drop for me). I would recommend either finding a way to go in through the international gateway or do genie+ and grab a LL for it first thing. If you go the LL route you can rope drop something like Frozen or test track very easily. Either way let us know what you do and how it goes :)
