- Tiana's Bayou Adventure Added to WDW WebsiteIn Disney World DiscussionMarch 27, 2024They look to be making very good progress on this. I'm hoping for maybe a soft opening in May when I'm there :-) I'm still sad the classic Splash Mountain has gone, but I think this will be a pretty cool ride too, and I loved the Princess and the Frog movie!21
- Something Special —-In Disney World DiscussionMarch 5, 2024Most memorable was being selected to be the Grand Marshall Family for the 3:00 pm parade at Magic Kingdom. It was like winning the lottery. They assign a photographer to you for the entire event and send all the photos to memory maker. It was without question a Mountain Top Day for us.21
- Something Special —-In Disney World DiscussionMarch 4, 2024My goodness. So many special memories, but this one stands out. In 2005 I was able to take my parents on a Disney vacation. We only went as a family once in 1979 and since I was a teenager, I spent the day with other kids my age and not my “uncool” parents 😆. Although I would have liked to have ridden Dumbo with them, it was down for refurb. This photo opportunity was even better since all three of us are in one shot. Thanks for asking this question!21
- Photopass Photographers & After Hours? In Disney World DiscussionMarch 9, 2024Yeap, they sure do! I did the Hollywood Studios After Hours Event last year by myself, and got some really cool photos by Tower of Terror and in Galaxy’s Edge, which all saved to Memory Maker!21
- WDW in MayIn Disney World DiscussionApril 8, 2024Woo hoo - I like hearing that! I've heard of random thunderstorms rolling in has that happened to you before? We have always gone in March and had only one quick rain shower!2
- Magic Band vs Magic Band Plus QuestionIn Disney World DiscussionApril 21, 2024I recently upgraded from MagicBand to MagicBand+ and was advised that the + version tends to run a bit loose. Amazon sells a pack of clips to keep the band closed around your wrist. Not sure if this board allows links, but type in MagicBand+ clips and it's the first item that comes up (11 clips in a variety of colors for $7.99).21
- Disney Springs Drone ShowIn Disney World DiscussionJune 4, 2024We went last night- crowds are unavoidable I would say to see it straight on. We stood for about an hour and it wasn’t too bad. It is not nearly as bad as happily ever after crowd - I would say luminous near the port of entry crowds. The music is really what makes it come alive so I am not sure seeing it at Saratoga springs for the first time would be a great experience.21
- Posted wait times at HollywoodIn Disney World Discussion·October 27, 2023We went on a Thursday in October and here was our experience with posted wait times on the major rides. • Rise of the resistance: They set the time at 60 pretty much the whole day. We rode it twice and the first wait was 40 and the 2nd wait was only 20 (60 min wait posted). Here is my opinion. Go around 1:30-2 or around 630-7. After major meal times worked for us. Also, if Disney lowers the time from 60 to anything less then be prepared for a rush. • Slinky dog: We rode this twice (once with LL). We got in line at 8:40 PM with a posted wait of 90 minutes. We waited 30 min and still made Fantasmic. In my opinion Disney won't reduce the time on major rides late at night to deter those of us who want to hang out after park close. From 8-9 PM we walked on Aliens, Toy story mania, and rode Slinky. We were able to ride the following rides twice at HS: Rise, Smugglers Run, Slinky Dog, star Tours, Toy story mania (3 times), alien saucers. In addition we were still able to get on all the other rides once. We are a group of 6 with 4 kids under 12. Just do your research with Robs great content to maximize your day! Good luck!2138
- Rides/Attractions Hi. I am trying to make a plan for the different parks to stay close to rides when using Genie+.In Disney World DiscussionOctober 28, 2023Hi Mary! If I were unfamiliar with the layout of the parks I would pull up maps of each and get a lay of the land so to speak. There are park maps available many places, including the My Disney Experience app. There is definitely a lot of ground to cover at WDW! I hope you are having fun planning your trip and good luck!21

- Need help planning your Disney World trip?In Disney World DiscussionOctober 25, 2023While I am not certain about them providing a cot, I do know that you can bring your own air matress provided you pump it up yourself. The main thing is that the people staying in the room must be on the reservation. I've actually brought an air matress with me before for my son to sleep on in a 1 bedroom Beach Club Villa. Those rooms are listed for 5 people but only have a king and a pull out sofa so not really 5 sleeping spots. I recommend finding one that has a built in pump because they can be easily deflated in the morning to make room in the tight quarters of the room and then quickly reinflated in the evening. Hope that helps!2
