- Pixie DustingIn Disney World DiscussionNovember 11, 2023While in the parks, I have seen several different ways of pixie dusting CM: keychains, stickers, wood tokens, CM compliments, etc. Not so long ago, the trend was to give CM friendship bracelets. I would say though that, no matter what you give them, the fact that you take some time to show them your appreciation will make them really happy.21
- Travel dates! In Disney World DiscussionNovember 8, 2023Hi Beth! I would always pick late February over fall, even if it means missing out on a festival. The weather is better and the crowds are lower. As for the festival, you'll still be able to see the topiaries (those go up starting around a week or so early) and if you REALLY want to try some festival treats, just plan to pop into Epcot for a bit on opening day. We might even see you there because all of us Disney nerds will be out in full force that day. 😂21
- After hours events vs. extended hours for deluxe resort guests. Should you plan for both? Or is having one enough if focus is rides. In Disney World DiscussionNovember 1, 2023EEH is usually busier than After Hours in 2 distinct ways. 1) There are far fewer tickets sold for After Hours events than there are people eligible for EEH. 2) Official park hours on days with EEH do not deter anyone from going to that park due to shortened hours like After Hours events do. Rob recently put out a video with him visiting MK during a day when there was a party at night and he noted that crowds are significantly lower. This may not seem important until you consider park closing time. Because fewer people are detered from visiting a park when it only has EEH, that means a lot more people are going to fill up queues at the end of the night. Because After Hours typically have fewer day guests, there will also be fewer people clogging up queues right when the After Hours event kicks off.21
- Solo….In Disney World DiscussionNovember 20, 20238 days is a good long trip and you should be able to easily do everything on your wish list and then some. With that many days, I wouldn't overplan things and be sure to include some time to enjoy parts of WDW that you haven't explored before. Maybe visit Disney Springs and hop on the boat to Port Orleans French Quarter for a Mickey-Shaped beignet at Scat Cat Club or take the bus from Animal Kingdom to Animal Kingdom Lodge to explore the resort and see the savannas. We LOVE going to Boma or Sanaa (both at AKL - Sanaa is at Kidani Village) for a meal. The bread service at Sanaa is wonderful. It's also nice to take a boat to Wilderness Lodge from MK. Maybe set some goals each day to cross off some of your favorites and then use the other time to explore new things while you are free to go wherever you please.2
- We've got a lot of fun videos on the way!In Ear Scouts LodgeJanuary 11, 2024Hello Rob. I met you last night at the Hollywood Studios after hours event, in Slinky Dog Dash. I hope you had a great time, we certainly did. I shall look forward to your video, as I do for all of them. Thanks for all the information you provide and thanks for stopping to say Hi 👋🏻.21
- We've got a lot of fun videos on the way!In Ear Scouts LodgeJanuary 14, 2024Hi Rob! I was wondering what the next video was lol. I was hoping now that it's park hopping all day, maybe you can make a video on all 4 parks in one day with and without genie plus? And maybe a video on the strategy for 2 parks in one day? I can't even think of the possibilities since any time park hopping is here lol21
- Disney World just earned its first-ever Michelin Star!In Ear Scouts LodgeApril 19, 2024I’ve been there a couple of times (before they REALLY jacked up the prices!) And they were both truly memorable experiences! I’d encourage anyone who loves good food to try it at least once! Those wine pairings almost did me in though. I have no idea how we got back to the Boardwalk that night! 😂21
- We've got a lot of fun videos on the way!In Ear Scouts LodgeJanuary 15, 2024Going from parks to resorts and back maybe?21
- Crazy Idea maybe? In Ear Scouts LodgeApril 30, 2024We haven't done this yet, but we plan to for a video later this year. Let us know what you find out, but it wouldn't surprise me if you have to physically go somewhere to get your Express Pass activated. Universal's app is not nearly as sophisticated as Disney's. For example, in order to get my Annual Pass discount on a Mobile Food Order, I have to use my camera to physically scan my annual pass card. That tells me that their systems are not all linked up and physical media will be required. Good luck!21
- Keys to the Kingdom tourIn Disney World DiscussionDecember 14, 2023I'm so glad you asked this question because I had no idea that non-dining reservations started at midnight. Thanks for the tip, @Beth Sanborn21
