Hi Jennie! As far as crowds go, they start to go down around Jan 5. Either week looks pretty good according to Touring Plans. They do expect slightly bigger crowds on Saturday and Sunday of MLK weekend, but otherwise the crowds during the week are lower as the months go on. Judging from that, I’d say it depends on what you plan for those weekend days. Either way, I think you will be fine. I will add, they usually close the Skyliner in January for maintenance for about 10 days. Unfortunately they havne’t even announced the dates for 2025 yet. In 2023 it was Jan 22-29 and 2024 was Jan 16-26. So if the Skyliner is important to you, going earlier in the month may be advantageous. Oops. Sorry. I thought I attached a link. Basically it said last year they announced the January rehab in October of 2023. While it’s not official, I can’t see them shutting it down with no notice. Maybe they want to wait until after the 6 month shutdown of the Yacht and Beach Club pool? LOVED Halifax and Nova Scotia! We went to The Bicycle Thief for lunch and I can’t stop raving about it. Seriously one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to.

That’s a great point Rachel! Knowing my boyfriend wasn’t all that interested in riding Slinky Dog again on his second trip made planning SO much easier!

I did not have any issues on rides with my glasses but I haven't ridden tron, so maybe that one is special!

Just to tie off the post... The Vacation was WONDERFUL! The strategy of doing Star Wars worked out great. Toy Story Mania was gone EXTREMELY early on Thursday. At 1:15 I was able to get as early as 2:15 but we held off ad got it at the end of the night. My wife Surprised me with Jollywood Tickets that night so we had it covered no matter what. However the waiting until 1:15 strategy worked out great. With our Lightning Lane that day we rode everything but didn't see Indy or Frozen. We opted instead to do some standby riding of Tower of Terror, and Rockin Roller Coaster.

Hi Claire! While I don’t have personal experience being there during the peak-peak weeks, I am glad I got MP for Epcot and AK during the moderately busy times. That being said, I try to avoid lines as much as possible regardless 😂

Jollywood was great! We mostly just re-rode everything with very little wait. The food was a little disappointing, but we did bot the alcohol samplings at Pizzarizzo's and they were fabulous.

The parks were way less busy than anticipated. We went to MK and HS on Party nights and they were not busy until the Noon Rush timeframe. The longest wait I had for anything was 40 min at MK for Big Thunder. It started as a 25 min posted and jumped when we were in line. That was on a Saturday Night non-party day.

Yes that Epcot video is largely what inspired this post. I'm glad you found my post useful. I'm hoping some of the experienced Disney goers weigh in, as I'm not sure if I might be overlooking something. e.g. with Test Track down, are so many people going to Frozen from the main Epcot entrance that it would make it a bad choice if entering from international gateway?
