- Must-do Standby QueuesIn Lightning Lane Forum·July 17, 2024Are there any attractions where the standby queues are so good that you'd prefer spending time in the queue over using the lightning lane? Conversely, are there some queues that don't add to the experience at all, and you would always opt for the lightning lane? I'm wondering about attractions across all the WDW parks.1489
- Magic Band QuestionIn Disney World Discussion·February 8, 2024Hello, We're coming to Disneyworld in May and are staying on site. It will be me, my wife and 2 children. We're intending on getting magic bands, would we need to get these for our children as well as adults? They're 8 and 10 yrs old. I(http://old.It)t'(http://old.It)s rare they would be making any purchases, but will obviously be going on rides etc. Thanks14117

- Looking for info and ideas….In Welcome to Ear ScoutsJune 18, 2024First of all - Let me start with - HAVE FUN AND ENJOY THE JOURNEY!!! This sounds like a real opportunity for family memories and stories for years and generations to come! What I would do is for the first 2 days is figure out what your parents CAN do and then do a lot of get them a coffee or something at the place they will need to be while the rest of you use G+ to go ride and come back - For Animal Kingdom - I would probably NOT rope drop - I would G+ Navi and get ILL for FOP in the same hour you got Navi - so you could do those together. The Santuli Canteen is a great place for people to wait and the drinks and food and environment are so beautiful. I assume your parents/aunt will do Navi and not FOP. Then you could G+ Dino and Everest (usually available hour of) and they could wait for you in Africa - and you could end the day by G+ the Safari - (if you have to wait for it - the bar there overlooks the music stage which is nice - or there is food. I would also do Lion King show if you can fit it in. This plan keeps them on one side of DAK - with the remaining crew doing major rides. MK - I would ask your parents what they WANT to see - and then for this half day focus on a slow relaxing view of that side - so like Tiki room, liberty boat, american president (air conditioned and easy things - on the left side) or People mover, carousel of progress, philharmagic, on right side - then if you think you are going to make it to fireworks - perhaps have the parents somewhere on a bench near the castle to hold your spot while you try to fit in some G+ of bigger rides? Hope this helps some21
- Multi-Day Trip tipsIn Disney World DiscussionJuly 15, 2024Hi, we went in May with a 10 yr old and 7yr old, so not too different from yourself. You will definitely need to take breaks as they are very tiring days. We found just sitting down somewhere in the park for an hour or so, getting some food and cooling off was a good way of doing that. We did try going back to the hotel in the middle of the day, but to be honest it was harder to get them back out again when we did that. If your kids are anything like mine they just wanted to jump straight in the swimming pool, so it wasn't as if they were actually having a rest! Taking advantage of Genie+ (or the new system as it will be in Jan) will definitely allow you to take your time and not have to be rushing about.21
- What’s in your bag?In Disney World DiscussionJune 8, 2024So I recently got the corkcicle sling bag with the Mickey ears - mainly because I knew I would need to drink more water during a summer trip. It meant changing from my bigger backpack to this small bag - let me tell you it was awesome. I had the fuel rod instead of a heavy battery pack. A ziplock of ibuprofen and pepto tablets. Small sunscreen and wallet - I also switched to pair eyewear so my sunglasses are super thin snap ons. I loved this bag and my corkcicle was amazing at keeping drinks cold! Bag in picture21
- Thoughts on the Lightning Lane Premier PassIn Lightning Lane ForumOctober 17, 2024lol - I doubt the powers that be at Disney know that I exist, but if they ARE listening, I'll reiterate my suggestion that they should give all resort guests a single Lightning Lane to combat the narrative that they are nickel-and-diming with these LL offerings. It would likely even increase their sales of LL MP because once you use one, you'll want to book more.2
- Tiana and the Halloween PartyIn Disney World DiscussionJune 8, 2024I think that, at this point, the only thing we can do is wait and see what Disney announces. It would be a missed opportunity for Disney to not have it open and have Dr Facilier wondering around the area.21
- Animation Experience at Animal Kingdom - Who did you draw?In Ear Scouts LodgeOctober 28, 2023This is so cute! We are looking forward to trying this on our next trip! I think I would love someone from Lion King or maybe Stitch. I am definitely not an artist so mine propbably won't be recognizable anyway lol! My kids, however, are very talented, so I know they will love this.21
- HS to Epcot: What LL should I book first? In Disney Genie ForumFebruary 26, 2024Thanks again!! It worked great! At 7, I booked Smugglers Run LL and Rise ILL. We rope dropped Rise & Smugglers. I had an 8:55 LL for Smugglers and as soon as I tapped in I booked Rémy and got an 8pm return. I tried to modify for an earlier time but hesitated for a brief second when I saw 7:45 and then it was gone, but I kept the 8pm and it worked out better for eating beforehand, and it was a perfect last ride for our day. We got out and went right to the fireworks. After booking Rémy in the morning, I continued to go back and forth with HS & Epcot LL bookings, and we had a very magical day!2
