- First day plansIn Disney World DiscussionJune 6, 2024Hi Keri! I think the big question here is whether you want to use a day of your park tickets for a short time in MK where your family may be too exhausted to go into the night. Do you have an Annual Pass or one of those tickets where you have more days than you need (as is often the case with Canada and UK packages)? If so, I'd say do it since you are not losing anything if everyone decides they are too tired to stick around after Happily Ever After. If park days are more precious, I'd vote to enjoy your hotel – there is a lot to explore at Art of Animation. If you are feeling like you want to get out of the hotel, hit Disney Springs or one of the mini golf courses at WDW. That way you can have a fun-filled first day without using up a park ticket that you might get more out of later in your trip. You'll have a great time either way!00
- Entering the parksIn Disney World DiscussionJune 6, 2024I think you're right about the machines not knowing the difference - one thing to consider is that you don't charge them so i'm not sure how long they're designed to last. but i figure if they can be connected in the app then they have battery life left.0
- TIANA'S BAYOU ADVENTURE FAQ (UPDATED)In Disney World DiscussionMay 15, 2024checked into it and it does appear that way. Also hoping they add a 3rd VQ drop at 6 on nights w/extended evening hours but if not it's not a big deal. My daughter's favorite ride was Splash Mountain when she was 8 and she isn't even bothered if we can't ride it now since we'll be back in NOV anyways.0
- First day plansIn Disney World DiscussionMay 20, 2024Hi Keri! Tough question haha. No matter how long your travel morning is, you will be so energized when you finally arrive! Maybe check with the kids and see if they're more excited about MK? Or about the pool? I'm sure you'll have a great time either way!00
- Entering the parksIn Disney World DiscussionJune 3, 2024Make sure they're connected to your account in the app - if they are and they're able to update to the latest software then you should be good. worst case scenario if it doesn't work to get you into your room you can buy some magicband+ at the giftshop or get some at disney springs. i did upgrade to magicband+ but for larger families i understand that this can be a frustrating expense so go ahead and try to use the old ones! Some members of my family used theirs from 2022 when we were there in november and they worked so i think you should be good.00
- Rock N Roller Coaster Reopening dateIn Disney World DiscussionJune 5, 2024Hi Rob, I am looking forward to your groups video. I have a family of 5 and wondering how bad that will effect the Genie Slots.0
- Entering the parksIn Disney World DiscussionJune 6, 2024You are correct, Jonny. Think of it this way, a MB+ is just a regular MB with some added glitz. If you let the rechargeable battery on a MB+ die, it still works just like a regular MB. The technology, (the one that lets you in your room, use LLs, etc.,) is something different that what makes it light up and vibrate. I still have some original MBs from 2014 that show up on the app. I should take one one of these days and see if it still works haha. I also think Disney changed how many ‘active’ MBs or MB+ you can have. Let’s just say I’ve gotten different stories from different CMs. I think if you keep your active bands to around 5, you should be okay(?)0
- Can I really WORK in WDW?In Disney World DiscussionJune 6, 2024I ended up not working by choice but I found quite a few spaces that would work in the future0
- Entering the parksIn Disney World DiscussionJune 6, 2024As others have said - as long as they are still fiunctional and are connected to the app, they will work for everything at WDW except for the few things that are exclusive to the Plus versions (interacting with statues, shows, certain games, etc), You should be good to go!00
- Disney Springs Drone ShowIn Disney World DiscussionJune 4, 2024awesome that helps a lot! the video didn't say if they have the music at saratoga springs (i know some resorts do that for happily ever after and other shows). But i think i'll just plan on managing the crowds... it's disney so it's unavoidable. I'm not sure if i'll want to stay up for the later showing but i would imagine the crowds are lighter for that one if the 9pm is too much.0
- Can I really WORK in WDW?In Disney World DiscussionMay 28, 2024In answer to the title, in my opinion it is impossible to do work while at WDW. Lord knows how many times I’ve packed my computer and never opened it haha. But that’s just me. As far as rope drop (Are you doing EE as well?) I’m not an expert, but I do love the idea of doing parks in the morning and evening. I’m thinking of using that plan when we go back in September. It’s a great way to knock out a big ride first thing and then getting on a few minor rides with almost no wait. Can’t wait to see how it turns out!00
- Disney Springs Drone ShowIn Disney World DiscussionJune 6, 2024It seems your best bet is to go to the second show on a Tuesday or Wednesday night. Any night other than Friday-Sunday should be better, though. We watched from both sides and it is better from Disney Springs, though it is nice to enjoy it with zero crowds. You hear the music from a bit of a distance, though and some of the imagery looks odd in reverse.00
