- Individual Lightning LaneIn Disney Genie ForumMay 12, 2024Hello Noah! That's a scenario that rarely happens* but if it does happen, you will have to go to Guest Relations and let them know about your situation and they may be able to refund you. Just remember to be extra nice when you ask, that helps a lot. *Except for RoR at HS, that one tends to break down more than the others.00
- Ride OrderIn Disney Genie ForumMay 7, 2024Without having to go through a list of all the rides, a good rule of thumb for rides that don’t have G+ is to keep your ‘steps’ to a minimum and go for rides that are in the area. Keep an eye on showtimes too! It’s a great way to kill time between LL reservations.20
- Is it better to not book your first ride at 7am?In Disney Genie ForumMay 21, 2024One thing I would recommend is to check the MDE app before your trip to see how quickly some rides “sell out”. I do that to get an idea of how easy or difficult it would be to get those “Must Do” rides, bearing in mind what crowds are expected during my trip. If you are planning on stacking and hitting the parks later in the day, then sleeping in might be a better strategy for you. 😊20
- 4 Day Trip with Genie+ and Park HopperIn Disney Genie ForumMay 21, 2024Hi Dwayne! For sure I would take advantage of extended evening hours and early entry if your main goal is to get as many rides in as possible. That being said, one of my favorite things about being able to park hop is to use the time to take a nice break at the resort. One of the pitfalls with a hopper is when people try to get ‘too much’ done in a day. Don’t forget to add the time it takes to travel to another park AND consider the amount of walking that would take to get to the transportation. If you can’t tell, I’m a big proponent of taking breaks haha, but if you and your group have the energy, go for it! Have a great trip!10
- Multiple riders & genie plusIn Disney Genie ForumMay 12, 2024Hello Sarah! We’d recommend booking for everyone since that is the default (it takes time to remove people and you might lose your time slot) and then you can cancel for the folks who don’t want to ride. Tap the three dots next to the ride you booked in the Tip Board view and choose cancel. It will let you pick who to cancel for and then those folks can book their own LL for the attraction they want to ride.10
- Itinerary HelpIn Disney Genie ForumMay 27, 2024I love Standby Skipper. Are you following them on their FB page? Did you know if you go into the “about” or the “files” they have plans in there? Also, someone (maybe the creator) sells plans or something of the like on Etsy - you can see it on the FB page. Not sure I would pay for that extra but I did print out their info sheets and have used their service several times. It is an added bonus at not an expensive charge! I booked my ILL on my own and then followed their tips for SS and then modified as needed.10
- Rise vs. TowerIn Disney Genie ForumMay 31, 2024For what it's worth, for the 14 days we've been here, we've done Hollywood early entry 3 times and Rise was down for 2 of them!20
- Itinerary HelpIn Disney Genie ForumMay 30, 2024i don't have any standby skipper experience either - I feel like it's best for folks who have done less research (you seem to have done yours) but in your case it really might payoff to get something booked during your flight. However, if it were me for option #3 i would either do MMRR or ToT based on your ride preferences, may be hard to do both in such a short time frame (i feel like the line for MMRR tends to be longer since it's little kid friendly and newer so maybe go for that one?). Part of my reasoning is that I think you can keep an eye on the wait time for SR and hope in when there might be a shorter wait. Also, since it's just the 2 of you, you can go into the single rider line for SR and will likely be put in a group together as gunners. You could get split up but the single rider line usually is super short so it's worth doing to skip the line i think!10
- We did it! Thanks to you all!!In Disney Genie ForumJune 6, 2024Heigh-ho, Keri - this message makes me so happy! I'm so glad to hear that you had a great vacation. Thanks so much for making our videos and website a part of your Disney adventure. Maybe we'll see you in the parks in 2029 (or who knows - maybe sooner! ☺️)10
- Itinerary HelpIn Disney Genie ForumMay 27, 2024First of all, I love your ambition! Sounds like a plan I would have made 20 years ago when I still had the energy 😂. Unfortunately, I don’t know much about Standyby Skipper but I spent some time on their website (and I still don’t think I learned much haha). It looks like you can choose ‘afternoon’ or ‘evening’ windows for when you want SS to search for a ride you picked, but it also said at different times of day, different windows are available. I am not sure if that means you can choose an ‘evening’ window in the morning or not. As far as advice on your plans, I would keep checking MDE this week to see what return times are looking like going forward. My biggest concern is the 2+ hours without wifi. I hope you are able to modify what you picked in the morning to later times. I just checked MDE at 10:20 CST and Test Track is at a 5pm return so hopefully you will be good! Also, be sure to have a contingency just in case your room isn’t ready at 4pm. I know they are supposed to be, but in my experience, it’s not a guarantee either. There’s always bell services who can hold your luggage. Can’t wait to see how it turns out!10
- Park Hopping; two rides from each of the four parks in one dayIn Disney Genie ForumJune 5, 2024Hi Jane! I think this depends a lot on what your two favorite rides are. If they are rides that use the Virtual Queue system, that is sometimes tougher to navigate when you are trying to hit all 4 parks. Using the Individual Lightning Lanes for those will allow you to set times that work with your schedule. If early entry is an option, I'd suggest doing some of your big ticket rides then so you don't have to worry about booking them with Genie Plus. That said, you should have no problem hitting two rides in each park if you are using Genie and Individual Lightning Lanes. I would imagine you'd be able to do more than just those 8 if you have some luck with the Genie Slots. Hope you have a great time!10
- Rise vs. TowerIn Disney Genie ForumMay 30, 2024I would go for ROTR - it's good to get it out of the way (and if you really love it you can grab an ILL for later in the day to do it again!) and worst case scenario if it's down you have time to get over to ToT and still snag a good place in line. I've rope dropped RotR several times and it's never been down for me. I hear it's more common than other rides but I would say you have a pretty good chance of it working. Hope you have a great time and let us know what you end up doing and how it turns out!10
