- Need help planning your Disney World trip?In Disney World DiscussionJanuary 5, 2024Hi Everyone!!! We are a military family of 6 (kids able to go are 14, 6, 3. still working on the 19yo college student's schedule) staying in AOA 2/14-2/20. These were really the only dates that worked for us and realized a few weeks ago that there are cheer comps that weekend and the 19th is Presidents Day. Also, do you utilize or prefer any specific crowd calendars? I've seen the results vary for our dates. I do feel much better about seeing and riding everything after watching Rob's videos. They are so great!!! Just trying to decide what parks/days to get Genie+ and if I should break our group into two parties when trying to reserve lightening lanes or when "playing the slots." :) Also any tips for child swap? I need to research this some more. I felt like a pro going when my 19 and 14 year olds were younger then everything changed and I feel like I have so much more to learn to take advantage of the days. The younger kids are big enough to ride most rides now, are SOOOO excited, and I cannot wait to get there and see Disney through their eyes this year!17
- Apps that book LLs for you?In Lightning Lane Forum·October 17, 2024Does anyone have any experience using apps like "Standby Skipper" (https://www.standbyskipper.com/) that book your lightning lanes for you? I'm interested to hear if they work, if they're worth it, and whether Disney frowns upon using them. I asked Standby Skipper support that last question, and this is what they said: As with any other third party app associated with Disney, we have limited visibility as to what’s going on, on their end. I can assure you we have received zero communication from Disney regarding any policy violation. And you see we aren’t hard to find! We have had legal review the terms and have been told we aren’t violating the terms, but Disney can always change things and those are often left up to interpretation. Wish I had a more black and white answer. We have NEVER had a customer report they have been blocked or banned. I would still encourage you to review the terms associated with both them and us and that may help you decide if the service is the right fit for you.17217
- Lyft to International GatewayIn Disney World DiscussionMay 2, 2024It's maybe a 10 minute walk from the Porte cochere at Beach Club to International Gateway. Assuming you don't stop and enjoy the scenery haha. So it all depends on what time you want to get there. I don't think the food booths open until 11 but could be wrong. Just put in Beach Club on the app and the driver will drop you off at the front door. Also, if you've never been to the Boardwalk, it's got a great lobby and lots of stuff to see in general! What time were you planning on getting in the park?2
- Looking to visit for the Christmas PartyIn Disney World DiscussionMay 7, 2024I’m so excited for you! Personally I’m not a big fan of Christmas, but being at Disney always melts this old Scrooge’s heart! Believe it or not, Christmas decorations literally start to go up on November 1st, so by Thanksgiving, they should all be up; definitely in the parks, and probably all of the resorts too. Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party usually starts the second week of November. Looking at your dates and last year’s dates, I’m going to predict there will be a party on that Sunday. Usually there aren’t more than one or two days between parties. Hope this helps!24
- Disney World just earned its first-ever Michelin Star!In Ear Scouts Lodge·April 19, 2024Congratulations to the Cast Members at Victoria and Albert's – this is a really huge honor! We haven't eaten there yet (it's kinda crazy expensive 😜), but we really want to try it someday. Have you eaten there yet? If so, let us know what you thought.2443
- Where's the Ear Scouts Meet and Greet 😜In Ear Scouts Lodge·February 23, 2024Watching your videos are my new favorite past time... I'm obsessed. So I'm gonna need to know where the Rob character meet and greet is being held 😉 because I'm certain I'm gonna need your autograph after using your videos to plan our May surprise trip for my family. Thank you so much! We have been 3 times in the past, but I'm getting to do a surprise trip for my kids ages 6,12,15 and I feel more prepared than ever to make Genie+ work for us!! First time going in May, we usually go in October/November, so any pointers or things I should know about Disney World for 5/28-6/1?24107
- Large groups for Genie PlusIn Lightning Lane Forum·July 19, 2024We are going to have a group of 17 going to Disneyland/California Adventure? We thought we would divide this group up into 3 or 4 smaller groups to pull lightening lanes. What size groups would you suggest? 3 groups of 4 and a group of 5? 2 groups of 6 and a group of 5?2441
- My Experience Booking Dining ReservationsIn Disney World DiscussionSeptember 12, 2024I have had lots of luck recently getting a seat at the lounge for Space220. Just swing by early and ask them when they recommend you get in the line for walk-ups.31
- New Member Thread - Come Say Heigh-Ho!In Welcome to Ear ScoutsOctober 25, 2023My adult daughters and I are doing a girls trip next week (10/30 - 11/4). We haven't been since January 2018 and soooo much has changed. The EarScouts YouTube videos were my favorite in all my research. I've watch many of them multiple times. I'm the family planner but was overwhelmed by all the changes until I found your videos!31

- Where's the Ear Scouts Meet and Greet 😜In Ear Scouts LodgeFebruary 23, 2024I vote for a Rob meet and greet as well! We have been watching Ear Scouts videos every Friday night to prepare for our trip which starts on Good Friday. My 12/15 year old girls have said more than once “I hope we see Rob!” You out rank the Disney characters! 😂 Thank you for your straightforward videos. They are so well done and genuinely helpful! We are hoping to apply your tips and play the slots to deal with what I expect will be really big crowds over Easter weekend.31
- Disney-ing with little kidsIn Disney World DiscussionMarch 5, 2024I love this topic. I’ve got 3 boys now 5, 8, and 11 but we have been going to Disney since my oldest was 4 and been addicted since. Some say don’t take little ones but for us it’s the best time to take them. While yours isn’t free anymore, the 2-4 year old age is the sweet spot for us as far as our favorite memories. We have done some trips where we all take nap breaks after lunch at the hotel. Sometimes we drink around the world while they nap in the stroller. Sometimes we go all day and night and let them fall asleep whenever they feel like it. My advice is to have a plan but be flexible. We rarely do resort pools much but typically plan an off day to do just that if the weather is nice. No matter what you decide you’ll be fine. Every family is different so do what you feel is best for your kids. My advice: Rent a jogging stroller (Orlando Strollers is the cheapest I’ve found). Bring a cooler with drinks and snacks for the kids and adults. Bring glowsticks for the kids. Let them eat ice cream or a cinnamon roll for dinner one night if they want. My kids get tired of the same kids menus everywhere so that’s what we let them do at Magic Kingdom. On your off day book a meal at a monorail resort (Ohana, Chef Mickeys, Steakhouse 71). Take a ride around the monorail before or after dinner. In Epcot, sign up for the scavenger hunts to entertain them in the world showcase. Take plenty of pictures and videos. You’ll watch them years later and miss those ages.31
