Heigh ho! I feel the same way Kristy. Have been following earscouts for three years. Best information and totally understandable. Use this site every year for updates and just fun. Think happy thoughts!
! I am sooooo happy to go back to Disney World for the 1st time in 15 years! Your channel helps me so much to plan my trip! I am now a Patreon member, checking all your videos and taking ton of notes! I will be there on august 10-11-12-13. All advice for travelling to Disney in august are welcomed! Hope I will see you!
Heigh ho everyone! I started watching Ear Scouts to help plan my next Disney trip, but now I watch purely because they are so enjoyable. Looking forward to getting to know everyone!
Heigh-ho! New member here and a big fan of Ear Scouts! So excited to be part of the community and learn more about the tips and tricks of all things Disney. My family and I enjoyed our trip to Disney last year and we're already planning for another trip! Ear Scouts has been awesome in helping us understand the in's/out's of everything Disney.
Heigh-Ho! New member here! I am Lee Warren and am leading my family of six to WDW in September 2024! I am wanting to have more info on the new multi and single LL! I think it’s going to be a good change!
Welcome Lee! I agree, I wish I knew more about the new system! I’ll be arriving Labor Day for a short trip and not knowing what is to come is making me a little anxious lol.
Heigh-ho, first great videos really appreciate them. Question that I have not seen in a video or might have missed. Starting the day in MK and dinner reservations in Epcot at 7 same day and have park hopper. Plan at 7am virtual Que tron, grab a lighting lane jungle cruise, and buy seven dwarfs. Is it possible at that time 7am to buy an ILL for guardians for let’s say 6pm prior to reservation in Epcot. Thinking is when we hop over later in the day we have that one set up. Just curious, and again great videos.
Heigh-Ho- I want to thank you for all the videos. My daughter and I went to Magic Kingdom on 5.16.24 and park hopped Hollywood Studios to Epcot on 5.17.24. We followed your advice and were able to get on almost every ride and for the popular rides more than once. We used Genie plus, I..L.L and early entry. At MK we had already ridden Peter Pan , Small World,Haunted Mansion, Jungle Cruise (Genie Plus), Pirates, and Aladdin by 9:30 am. We just kept booking and playing the lottery and rode everything by 4:30pm including Tron twice with stops for snacks, lunch, shopping! The rest of the evening we rode our favorites twice! Park hopping the next day was just as great but a little more strategic. Hollywood Studios- Mickey and Minnie’s train ride, tower of terror, slinky, and rise (ILL) by 10:30. Reservation at Olgas cantina where we were interrogated by the storm troopers! Then skyliner to Epcot with all rides and Guardians twice! Perfect weekend with my daughter. Thank you for all the help making it a magical memory!
Hi all! I just want to say hi from Scotland and thank you! I joined the forum a few days back as we have our first ever trip to DisneyWorld this July and you have been super helpful and friendly with my queries and questions . I have watched several of the videos too and they have massively helped on planning our trip!
So exciting! And I have some friends here in the states who will be visiting Scotland this summer! One will be performing at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival if you are a fan of live theatre! Be sure to share how your trip went!
Back from our magical Disney World trip in April. Your videos are the best! So helpful especially with Genie Plus. Have used your suggestions the past three years and have throughly enjoyed every trip. Coronado Springs for adults is a must.
Hi! Super excited for our trip coming up in June! A little overwhelmed as it’s our first time. We are hoping to get a DAS for this trip for our autistic 18 year old (it’s a trip to celebrate him graduating high school and we are hoping to make it the best ever). I’d love any info you have on using DAS in the parks
Heigh-ho! I am so glad I found your channel and site! I am a little nervous to be going to WDW in June because of the weather, but I am excited to go and have found your videos super helpful and fun! ❤️
I (53) live in southern Germany and have visited Florida 12 times... since it all began in 2002. My last visit was in november 2023. I love Disney, but also American food and the American way of life. Of course Universal is great too, and I've visited the Everglads many times, but Disney is the icing on the cake! My favorite ride is "Avatar flight of passage" at Animal Kingdom... or "Guardians of the galaxy" at Epcot?I can not decide........
Thanks Rob for your great videos, which I watch regularly and which provide me with a lot of useful information.
By the way, I would like to travel to Florida again in the first quarter of 2025......but not alone. So far I haven't found a companion yet....... so if someone here in the forum has the same travel plans........ maybe we can travel together or meet in Florida.
Hey Michael! I personally prefer Flight of Passage over Guardians because of the beauty of the ride and the land, it does make me feel that I’m in a totally different world. I’m pretty sure you will have a a lot of fun next time you visit.
Heigh-Ho! My name is Brittney, and I am new to this community! Super happy to be here! Your videos have helped me so much in planning our trip in April/May, and it helps fill the void when we are not able to be there! Thank you so much for everything you do!!! Also, I am in love with all your ears!!! Haha :)
Hi! New to this community, but thrilled to be here! Planning our first Disney trip with an 8 and 3 year old. Absolutely love your videos! Might you consider doing one in tips for disney-ing with littles? Special experiences just for little kids? What to do if one in your party is too short for a ride (can part of your group tap in for a lightning lane while others do something else with a little and then switch? Advice if you want to leave a park for a mid-afternoon nap and come back (ie: worth the splurge for a monorail hotel for ease of return)? Would really love your advice and thoughts on how to make the most of this experience with a “younger and shorter” family member. Thanks so much!!! (Also, you have the best ears!!)
I am so glad you created this forum. I have been an avid fan of your channel since it’s debut. You offer such help helpful advice. And I really appreciate your positivity. The joy you have for the attractions and just being there really shines through. We have only been to WDW two times. But I’ve started saving for another trip. I thought our first trip would be a once in a lifetime experience due to the high cost but I just love it so much that I really want to go back more often. I watch your videos in the intervening months when I can’t be there to live vicariously through you 😊
Heigh-ho! My two kids and I leave for our first ever trip in 14 days! 😭 I’m going to cry for sure, it’s been my dream to go to Disney! My kids and I love watching your videos and get a good laugh from your jokes 😄 I have learned so much about G+ all thanks to you and your team, I can’t tell you how much I appreciate yall! Well be keeping our eyes peeled for yall when we go 😄
So happy for you and your kids! You will have a magical time! And good for you for being prepared and learning all about Genie+ rope drop, etc. ahead of time. I always feel badly for those that are not prepared and don't get to do everything they were hoping to do. We lucked out and saw Rob at MK in October...felt like we bumped into an old friend 🙂.
Hi! New here. Just watched you after hours videos for HS and EP! They are great! I feel like you made them just for me. So happy to have found this. Going in May and doing AH at both Hs and Ep.
Heigh-Ho! I've been to WDW 20+ times staring year 1, but have not been in over 10 years. Things are crazy now! I'm looking forward to returning in 1 month with my grandchildren. Thank you for these videosI don't know how we would manage without them!
Heigh Ho! I just wanted to thank you for these videos, not only were they fun and entertaining, but you saved me all the frustration of figuring out Genie+ on my own, and helped me plan what was a perfect Disney spring break trip last year. So many hours we didn't spend in a line and instead enjoyed oursevles!
I really enjoy your videos and the information you provide. My family went to WDW last April but didn't use Genie + or rope drop etc. We missed out on lots of experiences at the parks. That group was 17 people. There are 6 of us going back this year at the end of June beginning of July. Gonna do the 4th at MK. We are gonna do rope drop and Genie+ for sure this time and thanks to Rob we will feel prepared to maximize all the tools to have a more fulfilling Disney vacation.
Heigh-Ho! I am new to the group. I look forward to learning more about Disney. I have gone several times over the years but I think learning some of the finer details will enhance my trips. Right or wrong, I usually go without an intinerary. That may sound crazy to some but I truly enjoy where the Disney Magic takes me and the family. (Although, I wouldn't mind having a dinner reservation once in a while!) Happy New Year everyone!
Heigh Ho, Rob! We absolutely loved bumping into you at MK in October. You were so nice and welcoming and we enjoyed chatting with you. We are new members of Ear Scouts but have been watching your very helpful videos for some time, now that we are DVC members. Keep up the good work!
Heigh-Ho! Every video I have studied has been SO helpful! I hope it's okay to ask questions here. I wanted to ask, is there a video that covers MK during a PACKED day that maybe I have overlooked? We will be at Disney for the first time ever in a couple of weeks. Park days are 12/18-12/21. We are doing MK our first day on Monday 12/18. Two adults, two teens. (33, 28, 17, & 16.) I want to know what our realistic expectations should be. We are all ready for a long day, early entry to close! But is it going to be possible to do all of our MK "bucket list" attractions with it being "the busiest time of year"? TIA- Carley J! (could not remember my email password to sign up so I used my sisters since it was saved into my laptop lol)
We (7 of us - 5 adults, 2 children- 7 & 3) went to Disney the beginning of October, leading up to the trip I found your videos. Great information and tips. Your explanation of Genie+ was very easy to understand. We purchased Genie+ on our first and last days, worked great. I had success playing the ‘Genie Slots’. Thank you and keep up the great work.
Heigh-Ho! We just returned from a two week 6 park days vacation! I want to thank you so very much for your Genie + strategy videos. They gave me the confidence that I needed to try and succeed with my first time using Genie +. We followed all of your advice and our trip went so good! I am so grateful!! My 11 year old son and I watched the videos the night before and made our lists. He was so cute, he said, it sounds like Rob is there 2-3 times a week (as I believe you mention that in one of your videos), he said do you think we might see him? I said maybe! We didn't see you this time but hopefully someday! Thanks again from this very grateful 🇨🇦 fan!
Hi Rob--my husband (and kids) and I have been going to WDW for 30 years and consider ourselves close to Disney experts. I recently found your videos and can't stop watching! I have learned a handful of new tips and tricks and appreciate how well you explain things - hope to bump into you on our next trip!
Heigh Ho! My husband and I are celebrating our honeymoon from Oct 27-Nov 3rd! We have watched I would say basically all your videos and I gotta say, we are on Day #3 headed to Epcot with our virtual queue for Guardians and we are ETERNALLY grateful for all the tips & tricks! All these videos have been such a big help! Thank you!
Heigh ho! Just joined to prepare for our upcoming trip in February. I will be the solo adult with my 2 adorable granddaughters, one that is 2, so I want to learn all the "toddler" methods of keeping the tantrums to a minimum. The older one will be my "runner" as Sid is quite energetic!! Thanks for any advice. Will be watching all the videos!!
That sounds like an amazing trip! You should be able to do a TON of stuff in two weeks. That said, I've lived here for two years and I go to Disney World at least 2-3 times per week and I still haven't done everything. 😂
Make sure you take rest breaks - either with a resort pool day or even a water park day as UK often get those in with our tickets. Don't underestimate the heat and how tired that gets us all as we are just not used to the humidity in the UK...we try to ensure we take a sit down late lunch on park days - or take in the shows in between queues so we are not standing in the heat and this is broken up by aircon time. Janaury should be more comfortable though so pack a sweatshirt or two just in case and ponchos - cheaper to buy on line that when you get caught in the rain. Have some family planning time so you all know what each person wants to try/do - you will have a fabulous time.
I am from the Chicagoland area.I don't get to go to Disney World often but love going when I can.
I research all trips and especially Disney ones.
My son & I planned a quick birthday weekend trip for him which we recently took. I loved watching your videos while planning, they helped me with all the details since the last time I went was 2021.
Heigh-Ho, Everyone! I'm Madison from Houston, TX and while I'm fairly new to experiencing Disney World I'm loving getting into all the details and various things to do in the parks and resours to Ear Scouts had been super helpful in that regard! I never experienced any of the Disney parks as a kid and went on a Family trip to Disneyland a few years ago when i was well into my 20's but I absolutely loved it - which suprised me because I grew up with season passes to Astroworld and really thought I didn't like theme parks at all! When I saw the Imagineering Story in 2020 I realized what it was that I loved about the parks - it's the attention to detail and the immersive experience! I did a trip with my dad to Disney World in late 2020 right after the park reopening and even though the dining and other experiences were limited it was amazing to experience it for the first time with limited crowds. I went back earlier this year for a quick bday trip for myself and i've decided to become a passholder for just a year since i have a lot of airline points to use and love the idea of taking smaller but more frequent trips... there is so much to see!
I'm currently planning a big adults only family trip with my parents and siblings coming up in the next week so I've been planning like crazy and the information from Ear Scouts has been super helpful! I'm looking forward to having planning support and being able to help others in this forum! Disney Adults truly are the most friendly :)
Any other non-florida resident passholders out there? Any tips or tricks you recommend to make the most of it?
Hi Madison - welcome! I hope you have an amazing year with that Annual Pass. Having the ability to get to know Disney World inside and out has been such a joy for me.
Hi Rob - been following from the UK for a while, used your tips last year for Genie and this year for the festival food. Here is me and hubby - who as you will see is modelling an Ear Scout teeshirt at Epcot :) thanks for all the info, looking forward now to 2024, staying at Caribbean Beach next time with a Disney cruise tagged on at the end...can you do a Wish video next :)
Yes! This! Your videos are a staple for me when planning and helping friends plan!! I was so ready for my first trip with Genie+ and virtual queues because of you! ☺️
So excited for this website! Love your videos- they were the only ones that finally helped me to understand Genie+. Just had a great trip with my daughters, we hadn't been for 10 years.
Heigh-Ho! Recently came across your videos on YouTube and absolutely love them! Excited for the new website! Planning our first trip in 6 years so I have a lot to catch up on. Your videos have been a tremendous help.
So happy to have this site! We haven't been to WDW since early 2020 and now I don't know anything lol! Your videos have been SO helpful in planning our trip for Thanksgiving next month. We are going to our first MVMCP on 11/22 so hoping you have a party video out by then. Great work!
Hi Surgie - we love spending Thanksgiving a Disney World. Hope you have an amazing vacation. We should have a Very Merry video up by then. Welcome to the forum! 😀
My adult daughters and I are doing a girls trip next week (10/30 - 11/4). We haven't been since January 2018 and soooo much has changed. The EarScouts YouTube videos were my favorite in all my research. I've watch many of them multiple times. I'm the family planner but was overwhelmed by all the changes until I found your videos!
Hi JillBoy! Your trip is almost here - so exciting! I hope you have an incredible time in the parks. Thanks so much for making our videos part of your vacation! 😃
Heigh-ho, Coree! Wrangling five kids at Disney is no easy feat! Our ear hats are off to you and we're so glad to hear our videos have been helpful. Welcome to the new forum! 😀
Heigh-Ho everyone!! Huge fan of you guys and have never missed a video!!! Congrats on the website! We have a huge 10 day trip planned for our first time to WDW next fall and I feel like I will be prepared thanks to you guys!!
Heigh-Ho! Love your content! Our next trip is in February (just me & hubby) and I'm super excited! Congrats on the new website 🎉 I'm excited to explore and check it out 😊
Heigh-Ho!! I'm so excited about this, and congratulations on having a site!!! We Love following the blogs as we are huge fans. Every professor needs a place where students can come and learn, and this site is going to be the portal. We wish you guys all the best in your endeavors, keep up the awesomeness!
Heigh-ho! Me and my husband took our first Disney trip since we were kids earlier this year! I was totally lost with planning until I found your videos! Ear scouts made our trip! Couldn't have done it with out you! Hope to see you on our next Disney adventure to give you a big thanks!
Love that you have a site now! We ran into you on the really bad genie grimlen- super busy day at Epcot just recently at the end of september just passing by! We watch you all the time, it made our day!!
Hi Felicity! Thank you so much for checking out the site. We can't wait to come back to Disneyland Paris. I think we've listened to "Un Monde Qui S'illumine" a hundred times since we got home. https://youtu.be/p0VAkGsTyjM?si=bOVpy5FOnG19OiUF
Hi Rob! The Genie Slots really saved my last two trips. My first post-Covid trip was a disaster without knowing about them. Absolutely love your videos and recommend them to everyone. They always make me smile!
Hi Rob and Erich! I'm not really a new member, I just wanted to say hello and thank you. Love the website! My recent trip was awesome and boy did I rock that Genie + thanks to you! I'll be back next year around Christmas time!! Until then I'll keep being a loyal fan! ~Kim
Hey Rob...we are 36 days away from our trip and I've watched so many of your videos! They are by far the most helpful so thanks! We have a party of 5 so I'm nervous about it being more difficult to book lightning lanes so I'm thinking about splitting up our party on the app to make it easier. Could you do a video or instagram reel about how to do that? Would I wait and do it after I purchase genie plus or let someone in my party purchase genie for a party of 3 and then I purchase for 2? Just confused about the best way to do this! Thanks!
Hi Melanie - great question. It doesn't look at how many people purchased Genie Plus together, it actually looks at how many you are booking for at that moment. The way you set that is when you set up your free Disney Genie service. It asks you who all is in your group and it searches for Lightning Lanes for that number of people. You can change this number on the fly by going to the My Day tab and tapping Edit Selections there. Note that this is different than tapping Edit Selections in the Tip Board. I recommend booking for the whole group for as long as it is practical, focusing on the most popular Lightning Lanes that are likely to disappear first. If you hit a point where you can't get what you need after a reasonable amount of time trying, edit those selections and make your group less than 5. Once you get something for them, select the other folks and try to get a time for them next. Good luck!
I'm headed to Disney World next week and your content has been so helpful! I've been on my own before but i'm traveling with my whole family this time so there was so much more to plan and research.
Heigh-Ho, saw this in Instagram today and had to check it out. We are 95 days away from our trip and have been watching all your videos on genie+ and everything else. You explain everything so well and detailed. Thank you soo much for what you do. Can't wait to apply everything we have learned.
New to the site but love the YouTube channel. It's awesome to get needed content in a fun and entertaining way. Couldn't have navigated after hours without seeing the videos first. Keep up the good work!
Hi! I've been diligently planning a trip for late November (Nov 26 - Dec 3) for our family. We haven't been since 2017 and there has been a lot to learn - I think I've watched all of the Ear Scouts videos in preparation!
We have two daughters - ages 7 and 9, who I hope will be the perfect ages to fully appreciate Disney World and have the stamina for the long days we have planned!
I've never been at Christmas time before and am looking forward to the Candlelight Processional (we have a dining package already booked) and the holiday overlays for rides like Jingle Cruise and Living with the Land.
Thanks so much, Jen! We love the Candlelight Processional – the whole Festival is wonderful. I think it's my favorite. Hope you enjoy Disney World at the most magical time of the year. And welcome to the forum!
Heigh-ho, everybody! This is Rob with Ear Scouts. So exciting to kick the tires on this new forum. I'm really looking forward to chatting with all of you here.
It seems this forum starts you out with your real name as your display name. You can change your display name in your profile, but I really wish it let you set that up when you created the account. I guess we'll add that to the wish list.
Let us know what other little bugs you encounter as you try out the new site. Also let us know what new features you'd like to see us add in the future. And, as always, don't forget to think happy thoughts! 😀

Looking forward for more tip and tricks videos of your Disney trip to prepare us for our June 2024 Trip🩷
Happy to be part of ear scouts!
I love watching your channel. You have such incredible energy and are always so positive. Thank you 😊
I'm new to the site. I've been watching your videos on YouTube for a few months as I plan for my next trip in 2024.
Heigh-Ho,
We (7 of us - 5 adults, 2 children- 7 & 3) went to Disney the beginning of October, leading up to the trip I found your videos.
Heigh-ho! Congratulations to Rob and the Team on the new website.
Looking forward to more fabulous amusing videos full of fun and frivolity and words of wisdom.
Best wishes from across the pond!
Heigh ho!!
I'm bringing my family of 5 from the UK in January next year and can't wait! We have kids aged 17, 10 and 6(almost 7 apparently!)
Looking for hints and tips to make it even better. We are there for 2 weeks so hoping to get everything done!
Heigh-Ho Everyone! I'm new to the site.
I am from the Chicagoland area. I don't get to go to Disney World often but love going when I can.
Hi, love everything about Ear Scouts!

So happy to have this site! We haven't been to WDW since early 2020 and now I don't know anything lol! Your videos have been SO helpful in planning our trip for Thanksgiving next month. We are going to our first MVMCP on 11/22 so hoping you have a party video out by then. Great work!

My adult daughters and I are doing a girls trip next week (10/30 - 11/4). We haven't been since January 2018 and soooo much has changed. The EarScouts YouTube videos were my favorite in all my research. I've watch many of them multiple times. I'm the family planner but was overwhelmed by all the changes until I found your videos!
so excited to be here - love your videos and your way of sharing information! Thank you for starting a fun community

Hey Rob and Erich!! Love the new website!! Was great meeting you in Disneyland Paris, hope you enjoyed the Avengers drone show!!
Thanks!
Love the new site. My family enjoys your videos and look forward to new ones.. we are going back to Disney is March and can't wait.
So excited to see this new iteration of EarScouts.com! Very excited to be here.
