After the first couple of days we were there I stopped carrying my wallet and just left it in the safe. I just paid with magic band or my phone, felt great not needing cash at all.
So I recently got the corkcicle sling bag with the Mickey ears - mainly because I knew I would need to drink more water during a summer trip. It meant changing from my bigger backpack to this small bag - let me tell you it was awesome.
I had the fuel rod instead of a heavy battery pack. A ziplock of ibuprofen and pepto tablets. Small sunscreen and wallet - I also switched to pair eyewear so my sunglasses are super thin snap ons.
I loved this bag and my corkcicle was amazing at keeping drinks cold!
I have a loungefly mini that I LOVE... it's not just the fun design, they really are the perfect size for the parks in my opinion! Granted i don't have kids so i'm not having to worry about packing for more than jut myself but i have:
collapsable water bottle from amazon that is the perfect size
i usually include some liquid IV packets (very important if it's going to be hot or if you plan on drinking)
a handheld fan (mostly for some parts of the line when it's not AC and you don't have a breeze)
sunscreen
backup battery/charging cord
I also keep a super cheap poncho to throw on if there is an afternoon shower - once i had to buy one of the ones in the park and it was SO expensive lol... dollar store ponchos it is for me.
it's certainly not fully with those few items but it's nice to have a bit of room to hold on to any merch you may get as well so you don't have to carry it around all day. I do tend to get stopped at security but i pull out everything pretty quickly so it's never more than a 2 minute delay. And honestly i think it's all the pins i have on the bag that get me stopped and i'm not going to get rid of them!
I like Jessica’s list if I plan on spending the whole day in the parks. I always check the weather and decide if I throw in an umbrella or not. I also picked up a collapsible silicone water bottle which I haven’t tried yet. I slim down my wallet to just a couple of cards (I usually use Disney gift cards I purchase through Target at a 5% discount using the Target debit card). Also, remember you can get band-aids and other health related stuff for free at the First Aid stations in each park! At least you used to be able to. Hopefully they haven’t changed that rule!
From now on... as little as possible, haha! I took so many things the Internet said I would need and I didn't end up needing them. What I did need:
-- small backpack
-- ziplock bags
-- hand sanitizer
-- umbrella
-- phone (obv!)
-- backup battery pack for phone
-- whatever you're having characters sign + markers
-- hat
-- sunscreen
-- ibuprofen
-- water bottle
I didn't bring my whole wallet, I just had my ID and a backup credit card in case my magic band stopped working. We didn't end up using stomach meds or bandaids (thank goodness) but it was probably a good idea to have them anyway.
Glasses cases, battery pack, umbrella, and pins/buttons inside a bag are what seem to set off the detector! I do want to reassure people though that at least for me, the bag search took like 30 seconds - a minute, it really wasn't a huge deal or slowed me down much. That said, I wasn't trying to to speed walk to Seven Dwarves or anything. 😅
I like this list a lot. For me, I bring pins for trading instead of supplies for character autographs. I have also found that having some form of caribiner or way of attaching things outside your bag is very helpful. I hook on my ears when I am on a ride where I can't wear them and I also like to attach my popcorn bucket (which you can also do using its integrated handle).

I always bring a bag with me with the following items: • Umbrella
• Power bank
• Reusable water bottle
• Sunscreen
• Mickey ears
• Pins to trade
When I go through security, I always make sure that I take the umbrella out so I won't get stopped.

Great info. Thanks!
