Hi all, we love the YouTube channel and it has been a fantastic resource as we build our Disney expertise. My husband recently purchased an annual pass for the first time, and we have an upcoming trip to WDW where I have a date-based ticket. We’re now facing the Lightning Lane conundrum: I can pre-book passes for all my park days three days before our first entry date, but he can only book for one day at a time, three days before each park reservation.
If I pre-book Lightning Lanes for all days, can I add him to my reservations for each day as he becomes eligible? Also, do you have any tips, tricks, or best practices-especially for syncing bookings and handling high-demand attractions or parks-to help us maximize our chances of experiencing rides together? If you’ve covered this in a video, apologies for the repeat; I’ll be brushing up this weekend before our trip next week. Thanks so much for your help!
"An alternative would be to try and get your husband's reservations to be as close to yours as possible but not book them together. You have a 2 hour grace period after a lightning lane expires so you should be able to get reasonably close to each other, although this may not be possible on the very popular attractions." Not a bad suggestion but for the more popular rides as you say. We will have to see how it goes!
This is an interesting quirk, unfortunately I can't help with the annual pass\date based ticket advice, but for the lightning lanes the answer is yes you will be able to add him to reservations but only if there is space available. It would essentially be like booking a new lightning lane reservation for both of you.
