Booking LLMP group reservations

Hi - I'm a first timer with lightning lanes, getting ready to purchase LLMP in a few days and have a question about managing a group. We've got a group of 8 people and I'm hoping we'll mostly ride together when we're in the parks but realistically some of our group won't want to/be able to ride certain rides - is it challenging to make reservations for just a subset of the group, for example half of our party wishing to book a second tier 1 ride after we've scanned into our first tier 1 of the day? Thanks!

Late Arrival

What is the best strategy to maximize use of Lightning Lanes if part or all of our group will not arrive at the park until later in the day (noonish)??

In general - later in the day is harder to get the big ticket lightening lanes - but the 2nd tier are almost always available. I think the best solution is always to get your initial must dos as your planned if possible and then just play it by ear the rest of the day - it is possible to get LL all the way up on to park close for a lot of rides. Also if you combine shows, short waits and LL from noon - close you can do a lot.

Multi Pass LL purchase- Parking Hopping strategy

Hi,

I just found Rob and the Ear Scouts this week! I've been going to Disney for several years and learn new stuff all the time, but I had not come across his site before (I don't watch a lot of youtube....). His videos have been so great and I'm sure you all will have some perfect insight for me!!!!

Anyways, we are doing a 4-day park hopper tickets in July. Our plan was to hit at least 2 parks a day. Of our 4 mornings we were going to do D1 am- AK, D2 am- EP; D3 am- AK, D4 am- HS-- mostly because of heat and AK we can get the things we want to do knocked out early. Afternoons respectively would be: HS, MK, MK, EP

My question to the group.... On the mornings we are doing AK, should we go ahead and get the AK multipass…

I really think you should prioritize which rides you want. Maybe for one of the later days in the trip do the HS MP to get slinky dog if it really is a priority!

More my family Rise is our only real HS must do_ so we very rarely get MP there.

I find you really don’t need MO at AK if you early entry.

Can you pre-book LL for all 3 days planned at same time?

We have a 3 day pass where we can go to one park per day on any day of the week between Sun - Thurs.

Our plan is to go to Animal Kingdom on Monday, Epcot on Tues and Hollywood Studios on Thurs. (We did MK last year so skipping it this year). We are NOT staying at an onsite disney hotel.

With the new LL Multiplus plan, your video says we can start booking 3 days before "the beginning of the date range for the multi-day ticket" and it also mentions that we should prioritize booking Hollywood studios before Epcot or Animal Kingdom.

Based on the above, it sounds like I can start booking the LL on the Thursday prior to the Sunday that our multi-day ticket starts on. On that Thursday, can I book 3 lightning lanes for each of the 3 park days? or can I only…

The wording on the Disney site is as follows:

"Guests with date-based theme park tickets (which require the Guest to choose a start date at the time of purchase) can purchase 3 days before the first day of their ticket, for the total number of valid admission days on their ticket."

So to answer your question:

On that Thursday, can I book 3 lightning lanes for each of the 3 park days?

Yes!

At 7am EST on the Thursday you can book for all 3 days. As you mention it's generally recommended to book the Hollywood Studios ones first, I'd then recommend going for Epcot and lastly Animal Kingdom.
