Space Rangers and Rock n Rollercoaster Closures
Hi everyone,
We're hopefully coming in May 2026 on our honeymoon from the UK. I know this question is probably long the same lines as "how long is a piece of string" but I'm hoping someone with more historial parks knowledge than me can help me out.
Space Rangers has now closed for refurb and as I understand this is a complete revamp of the ride so I guess this will take a lot longer than a year. However, does anyone have any different opinion from previous times it's closed or if similar rides have gone under a refurb like this and there's a slight chance it may be open in May 2026?
And the same with Rock n Rollercoaster? I'm gutted we're missing the original version, I was so looking forward to it after it got taken away from us in Paris but glad the Muppets have a new…
Heigh-Ho Anna! I agree with Jonny that RnRC probably won’t be back before your trip. I’m really hoping they give it some of the same effects as the Iron Man re-do in Paris. I recently watched a video and if they add screens/projections I think it will be amazing! I also think there’s a good chance. The closest thing I can think of that they’ve done before is changing Journey into Your Imagination to JIYI with Figment. That closed in October of 2021 and reopened in June so that would put it right about your time! They do seem to start testing new rides and makeovers in May. Probably so they will be up and running before Summer starts!
